Now that police have seized the head of beloved Zimbabwe lion Cecil, the Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force is calling for the lion’s head to be mounted in a case in Hwange National Park, where he was killed last month.
The killing of Cecil has caused an uproar across the world, prompting debates on everything from the controversy over big game hunting itself to how best to punish Walter Palmer, the Minnesota dentist who took it upon himself to kill the lion. (Palmer had planned to keep Cecil’s head for himself.)
The task force’s suggestion is just the latest cause of controversy.
