‘Ugly’ fishcake flies off the shelves in Singapore



Thanks to its haters, the fishcake product that was widely panned by Singaporeans when it debuted is selling very well, says its creator. The fishcake, released by local fish product factory Ha Li Fa, has a "50" cutout in celebration of Singapore’s 50th year of independence this weekend.

It showed up in supermarkets over a week ago, and started drawing flak soon afterRedditor ChrisInsanity said the holes looked like they had been left over by rats, while Facebook user Alan Ang criticised Ha Li Fa for missing the mark in its tribute. Read more…
